UPDATE!

It has been awhile since I've updated the blog. So I'll give you a recap of the last few weeks. First of all, Micah got a package of ants in the mail for his ANT HILL project the end of April (see below). We had studied ants during the winter months when it was too cold to receive an ant package. We we reviewed this study of how some insects work very hard. They are not lazy and God wants us to work hard like an ant. See Proverbs 6:6-9
These are the flowers Tim got me for Mother's day. Roses and purple flowers, my favorite! What a great guy. ;)
Here Micah received his certificate of Kindergarten completion. What a great year we have had! We do plan to continue our Bible memory through the summer and read LOTS of books as well as practice his reading/phonics. GREAT JOB, Micah!
This is the scene (see below) I came home to last Saturday morning while I was out at some garage sales. Tim had all three boys playing Monopoly and Hannah was taking her morning nap! At the time, Caleb was winning this game. The boys absolutely LOVED it! Not to mention, Tim was pretty pleased to bring out this game again. Gotta love "Dad days!"
Grandpa and Grandma Bailey were over for a supper last Saturday. Here are a bunch of Bailey boys chillin' together in the recliner while watching a tractor DVD. As Ben's shirt says, "I'm BIG on the farm" [or at least on the BAILEY HOMESTEAD]! Happy 61st Birthday TODAY Grandpa Bailey!

Here is a picture of Hannah today at 8 months of age. Where did the time go? She is the perfect addition to our family.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY THE BLOG FOR A VISIT. HOPE WE GOT YOU UP TO SPEED ON ALL THE HAPPENINGS AT THE "BAILEY HOMESTEAD!"

6 Month old Hannah

Last week the kids and I had a playdate with a friend and her kiddos. She offered to shoot a few pictures of Hannah girl. Here they are. So sweet and cute. I love how her eyes stand out. This friend is the same one who did Hannah's one week old pictures here

Sugar and Spice

This past weekend, Hannah was dedicated to the Lord at our church. Most of our family was there for this special event and of course, Hannah was looking extra cute. It is hard to believe she is 6 months old already (as of March 20th)! Time sure flies when you are busy and having fun. :) We are so thankful for this sugar and spice of a little girl.

Grandparents, Pie, and Kids

On Saturday, my parents came over for some pizza and pie. I knew two things (grandkids and pie) would get my parents to come for a visit 45 min. away. I was feeling extra industrious in the kitchen and just had to try my hand at homemade banana cream pie.

Me with the Pie. It was pretty good. Dad gave it a "10" and I would give it a "7-8". My one question, is there a way to keep the bananas from getting brown or is it inevitable? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I did put orange juice over them, but it still didn't seem to help.

The Kiddos! Not bad for all 4 together. :)

Elephant in the HOUSE!

This past week, we've been studying about elephants. So, we just had to make an elephant mask. Being creative is one of Micah's favorite things, so this is what we made yesterday. What do you think?

Much fun was had by ALL!

Ice Fishing

How many people do you think we can get in a fish house at one time......any guesses? Well at one time we had 13 people! However, the 2 people stayed for only 5 min . So, for about 1.5 hours there were 11 of us in this lovely house made by Tim's dad and brother (with some help from Uncle Fred too). We had a great time checking out the sport of ice fishing last weekend. After living in MN for basically all my life this was a FIRST for me. The FISH HOUSE (note our Suburban in the background is on ice here). Yikes! It was kind of weird driving out on what I have seen in the summer to be a lake.

Grandpa B. and Micah (we had just arrived so it was still kind of chilly....but not for long!)

Daddy Tim supervising the kiddos (even Hannah is part of the fun. She's hidden behind Tim in that lower bunk bed area). BELOW: Caleb and I . Sadly, no catches for me
There she is.....Hannah baby. She even fell asleep while we were at the fish house.
