Gingerbread BOYS!

Today we had our 3rd annual Gingerbread Boy Cookie making day. We invited our friends Kelsey (who is our babysitter) and her mom, Mrs. Gunn to our baking extravaganza. What a fun morning! I had made the dough the evening before so this morning we were able to plunge right in and cut out the cookies as well as decorate them. The kids loved it! Especially sneaking a treat from time to time. Surprisingly, Caleb enjoyed the red hots.

In school this week we've been studying about the letter "X" and the animal FOX. In our storybook reading the fox is often sneaky and tricky. The fox often tricks others by pretending to be a friend when he is really an enemy. We learned that God's Word makes me wiser than my enemies. With that we read "The Gingerbread Boy" book. So, we just had to make gingerbread cookies! And yes the cookies were delicious. :) After all, gingerbread boys are made for eating!

Sweet Hannah is 8 weeks old!

Our Hannah is 8 weeks old now. What is her newest thing......SMILING!

Fun in the Snow!

On Saturday morning we woke up to a WINTER WONDERLAND! The boys were so excited to get out there to play. The first thing they did was dig. Then they worked together to build a snowman. On Sunday late afternoon I could not find my 3 oldest boys (Tim, Micah and Ben) . Well what did I discover? They were busy building a fort. So, for the past few days the kids have been enjoying their snow fort as seen in the pictures to follow. We are truly enjoying the snow around here. :)

Hannah 6 weeks old!

Hannah is 6 weeks old now. Where did the time go? She is growing and changing every day. As you can see, Caleb has taken a liking to his sister. He likes to hold her and give her kisses. So sweet! I have a feeling these two are going to be close some day.
Ben and Micah thinks she's pretty special too!
No doubt that this little girl is the princess in our home!

Fall Harvest Orchard

We went to the Fall Harvest Orchard on Friday, October 1st. Since Tim was home, I thought it would be a great time for a family outing. We sure had fun! Here are a few pictures to share.

We are now a FAMILY OF SIX!
Ben and Micah - hmmm, someone's a little short. :)

Feeding the goats

All three boys (and the man) checking out the baby goats.
Tim and Caleb enjoying the tractor ride. While on the ride, we got to stop and pick popcorn. That is what Caleb is holding in his hand. Mmmm, we'll have to try making it later on this month.

My THREE little pigs!

This is how baby girl and I got around the place. She slept the entire time!

We got our pumpkin (and Honey Crisp apples as well)! The plan is to carve it out sometime this next week.

What a beautiful, fun afternoon!
