Gingerbread BOYS!

Today we had our 3rd annual Gingerbread Boy Cookie making day. We invited our friends Kelsey (who is our babysitter) and her mom, Mrs. Gunn to our baking extravaganza. What a fun morning! I had made the dough the evening before so this morning we were able to plunge right in and cut out the cookies as well as decorate them. The kids loved it! Especially sneaking a treat from time to time. Surprisingly, Caleb enjoyed the red hots.

In school this week we've been studying about the letter "X" and the animal FOX. In our storybook reading the fox is often sneaky and tricky. The fox often tricks others by pretending to be a friend when he is really an enemy. We learned that God's Word makes me wiser than my enemies. With that we read "The Gingerbread Boy" book. So, we just had to make gingerbread cookies! And yes the cookies were delicious. :) After all, gingerbread boys are made for eating!
